SAY NO TO “STRESS”

Nowadays, due to this pandemic situation tons of people are facing stress regarding various issues.Hence,it has to be managed by a human to prevent furthers complications like depression and other life threatening diseases.Today, we are going to discuss about stress management- A very essential topic one must consider in their life.

Basically,Stress has various types. Physical stress can be caused by burns,infection,pain and surgery.Environamental stress due to air and noise pollution and crowding.

Psychological stress is due to death or loss of near and dear ones.

Stress management:-

A reasearch says that people who workout even once a week or for as little as 10 mins a day tend to be more cheerful.

There are various methods to reduce stress. Here I am discussing few of them.

1. Meditation- It is the most powerful tool to integrate all the six components of health.

– Repetition of a Sound,Word,Phrase,Prayer or muscular activity.

 Benefits:- 

–  Brings in behaviour transformation.

 – Increase in willpower,tolerance,clarity in thinking and perception.

– Relieves Physical,mental and emotional stress.

– Relaxes body-mind system.

2. Mind training –

–  Positive Thinking :- The filling of the mind with positive,optimistic and happy thoughts and ridding it of negative ,pessimistic and the gloomy ones.

– The chief advantages are that it keeps a person away from despair,it acts as an antidote to self-eriticism and it enables one to succeed in all his endeavours.

– Laughter Therapy :- Regular indulgence in laughter acts as a foolproof shield against the harmful effect of stressors.

– Relaxes muscles and upgrades body’s immune system.

3. Relaxation Techniques:- There are tons of techniques of relaxation.

– Guided imagery:- Using the mind’s ability to imagine sights,sounds,smells or movements induced specific physical reactions in the body.

– Imagining ‘Calm thoughts’ triggers the relaxation response.

– Music therapy :- Listening to music of one’s choice produces auditory relaxation that radiates to muscles and the brain.

– Aromatherapy :- Aroma of oils extracted from plants are applied via massage,baths,hot or cold compresses,inhalation.

– Citronella, Eucalyptus and sage elicit relaxation response.

– Lavender, Chamomile and sandalwood induce meditation state.

– Sleep :- Deep sleep enables nervous system to function well. It helps to concentrate,  remember or analyse.

4. Distraction:- Continuous work produces mental tension.Therefore, One must go for their favourite task like getting massaged, singing, Visiting friends,following religious rituals,Travelling and many more..

So,Here I have shared a lot of techniques. I hope you all will look onto it and adapt it in your life..
