YOGA AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Today,We are going to talk about “Yoga”. Recently, We all have celebrated so called “Yoga day” on 21st june with the theme of yoga beats corona. Tons of people has posted the pictures of yoga to spread the awareness. Therefore, Let’s put some more light on this topic.

Basically,Yoga is a psycho-somatic-spiritual discipline for achieving union and harmony between mind,body and soul.

Yoga gives so advantages to human body. here,I am describing a few.

Physical benefits:

  • creates energy and improves stamina,fitness and concentration.
  • enhances the flexibility of body
  • Regulates metabolism and improves digestion
  • Rejuvenates and decreases tension and teaches relaxation.
  • Improves Posture and delays the ageing process.
    -Helps reducing excess fat

mental benefits:

  • calms and disciplines the mind.
    Improves concentration and counteracts stress.
  • Gives control over emotions,Particularly anger.
    Creates a flexible mind
  • Promotes positive,happy attitude.

Yoga includes pranayams and asanas.

Pranayama is the practice of breath control in yoga.There are various Types of Pranayama including Bhramari Pranayama,Kapalbhati,Omkar Pranayama,Nadi shodhan Pranayama.

Whereas, Asana is a yoga pose or posture or position of the body. It is used for purposes like Physical therapy,spiritual purpose and for meditation.

Asanas used for Therapeutic exercises:

  • Tadasana – Increases strength to Arms and legs.
  • Chakrasana- Stretches the whole body.
  • Bhujangasana- relieves back pain.
  • Paschimottanasana – stretches the hamstrings and calf muscles.
  • Makrasana(crocodile Pose) – Beneficial in Cervical,Slip disc,Spondylitis,Sciatica.

At the end, I would say that adapt yoga lifestyle and you won’t need any medicine.. As It is always said that:

“Precaution is always better than cure.”
